This low sauce dish measures 3 3/4" in diameter. Barberry was made originally by The Boston & Sandwich Glass Co, circa 1850-60's. In the 1880's this pattern was made by McKee & Brothers. The provenance that I acquired with this piece states as follows: "About 1865 my grandfather bought my grandmother a set of glass ware. Through the years I have added pieces." Whether this is an 1865 piece or an 1880 piece, I do not know. The statement says "When I was a child we always used the low sauce dishes at Thanksgiving. Each person had a sauce dish filled with cranberry sauce." I have 12 of these sauces available. All are without chips, cracks or scratches. There are bubbles in the glass and mould lines characteristic of pressed glass. The price is for a single sauce. You may purchase 1 or more. I will be listing several pieces of this glassware.
