This tapered mug is marked Maling (maker) Newcastle-on-Tyne England. This is a 1949-63 mark of the C.T. Maling Pottery. The original Robert Maling engravings were used in the mid 20th century to produce the series of Poor Richard pottery. This particular mug dates to 1956 with the shipping logo on the back of the mug.
