This is one of a group of four oriental silk paintings, each listed separately. The overall measurement is 15 1/2" x 17 3/4". It is matted. The glass is non-glare glass. The gold faux bamboo frame surrounds the painting beautifully. There are Japanese characters on the right of the painting with a possible signature. The painting is an arrangement of flowers and limbs featuring an animal on a branch. The tag on the back of the piece identifies the framer. This business closed around 1970. I cannot date the painting, but it is from a local estate and dates prior to 1970. I remember a rule of thumb popular in the 1960's was to include at least one oriental piece within any decor.
