This lovely plate is featured on the back cover of "Romantic Staffordshire Ceramics" by Jeffrey B. Snyder. It is described on page 85 of the same book as "A very rare and desirable two colored Valencia plate by Job and John Jackson, c. 1831-35. It measures 10" in diameter. The edge is heavily scalloped. The printing is very crisp. The plate is in very good condition with the exception of a chip on the underside of one of the pointed scallops. This does not show from the front.
