This is a teapot and lid from a child's tea set. It is Aesthetic design Transfer printed in red (pink). The pattern is Miss May. It is often referred to as May with Apron. The girl is holding her apron full of eggs. The bottom is not marked . Other pieces of the set are marked with a Staffordshire belt with MAY and 753. This was made by Charles Allerton & Sons pottery circa 1880. Lid is an actual teapot lid with a steam hole. The overall size is 5 1/2" tall. The only chip is on the rim of the teapot. It is crazed, but not stained.
