This is a cream pitcher from a child’s tea set. It is Aesthetic design Transfer printed in red (pink). The pattern is Miss May. It is often referred to as May with Apron. The girl is holding her apron full of eggs. The bottom is not marked . Other pieces of the set are marked with a Staffordshire belt with MAY and 753. This was made by Charles Allerton & Sons pottery circa 1880. The overall size is 3 1/2" tall. It has no chips but is heavily crazed and stained. There are two very tight hairlines_ one on the spout and another where the handle joins the pitcher.
