This 10 1/2" plate is printed in light gray-blue with a lovely floral design. It is very early, 1842-44. The mark on the bottom identifies the pattern as NANKIN JAR and the maker Ridgway and Morley Staffordshire Potteries. The center has an oriental vase with large flowers. The rim of the plate has 3 urns with flowers and several small flowers. The center design is outlined with a Greek Key design. There is also a tiny flower design around the edge of the plate. I have 3 of these plates available. One is in excellent condition. A second plate has a small chip on the edge. The third plate has a manufacturing flaw on the back which shows yellow on the front. There are also chips on the plate ring. Displays quite well. The price is for the good plate. The other plates may be purchased at a reduced price.
