Early Painted Silhouette GRADUATE Birds-Eye Maple Frame

This silhouette is tiny with the head itself measuring 1 1/2" tall. The circular opening measures 3 3/4" in diameter. The mat is reverse painted glass, black with gold ring. The frame is a wonderful birds-eye maple measuring 9 1/2" on a side. This is a gorgeous presentation. There is a bit of flaking on the black reverse painted glass. It appears this has been taken apart at some time and properly framed. Frame may be original, but the sealed backing is more recent. What a wonderful gift for a graduate!
