This is a group of 4 flow blue 10" soup plates. The blue is a beautiful flow blue. The edge of each is scalloped and outlined with beading. The design is embossed with 1/4" scrolls. In addition the edge is gilded. The soup plates are marked. The pattern is MELBOURNE and the maker is W. H. Grindley. According to Petra Williams "Flow Blue China" this pattern is circa 1900. All four of these soup plates have chips. The first two shown have multiple chips on the edge showing on the top side. The last two are really quite nice with only 1 or 2 small chips on the underside. No crazing or staining. These plates are perfect for display especially if using plate hangers. Restoration is also an option. Beautiful plates. The price is for all 4 plates.
