This frame 19th century frame is stamped brass. The top is rounded with a French ribbon design. The sides have a serpentine design. The frame measures 5" x 3". It holds a photograph measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". There is glass covering the photograph. A brass easel stand is attached. The back is marked with a name of the person in the photograph and the date August 8th 1857. Good condition. There is a small chip in the edge of the glass.
