This soup plate measures 9 1/4" in diameter. It has cobalt blue under the glaze. The polychrome design in Japan colors is enameled over the glaze. This pattern is named "NOMA" as identified on the back. There is no manufacturers mark. I have been informed NOMA was made by Wedgwood. The design has a large vase in the center with Chinese dragons. There is a compote with a pumpkin. There is a snake. The design is highlighted with metallic gold. The edge is ocher. This style plate was made by many manufacturers in England during the 1820-40 period. The plate is crazed and stained. It has a flake off the glaze in the bowl. There are two short hair-lines which show on the back. Still a lovely plate.
