This small cup and saucer set is from a child's tea set. It is transfer printed in brown red and yellow enameling. The primary design is that of a bird on a branch. There is a bird inside the cup, outside the cup, and in the center of the saucer. The cup measures 3" in diameter and 2" tall. The plate measures 4 1/2" in diameter. Neither piece is marked. They are English and date from the mid to late 1800's. This is a minute nick on the rim of the cup. Another on the bottom on the plate ring. Neither affect the charm of this set.
