I was so excited when I found this piece of Art Deco Era Souvenir jewelry. C. 1930 Sterling Silver & Multi-Color Guilloche enamel pin was originally purchased as a souvenir (gift ~ memento) of a trip to the capital of Massachusetts - Boston. UNCOMMON silver pin is shaped just like a 19th Century pottery bean pot with the beans bubbling at the top & even has a cut out handle on the side! There is a very slightly raised area in the center designs within a circular frame... the focal point is the image of an Obelisk shaped monument and in capital letters "Bunker Hill Monument". There is Persian Turquoise Blue, Emerald Green, Gold, Brown, Pale Lavender & Snow White GUILLOCHE Enamel.
Vintage souvenir jewelry MEASURES ~ 7/8 Inches in both directions and is Clearly Marked "STERLING" and the Hallmark for its Manufacturer (S with a partial circle around it) on the reverse. Unusual Boston, MA. pin is in VERY GOOD CONDITION! Retains Original Broad "C" Clasp, Hinge & Pin Stem. I see NO Nicks, Chips, Loss , Excessive Wear or Abrasion to the enamel - has been lightly polished.
RARE piece would make a GREAT addition to a vintage vacation spot, historic monument, souvenir jewelry or enamel pin collection - VERY COOL!
