This Hefty sterling bracelet was manufactured by one of the FINER Silver/Jewelry/Accessory companies in the US - Charles Thomae, The Thomae Co., Attleboro, Massachusetts.
At first glance, the FABULOUS engraved flourishes all across the bracelet would date the piece to the late Victorian Era around 1900 however; the Thomae Company was established around 1920. They are well known for their beautiful Guilloche Enamel piece - vanity items as well as jewelry. I have never owned or come across this particular cuff bracelet before - I purchased it more than 10 years ago.
Vintage Silver accessory WEIGHS 38.6 Grams (~ 1 1/4 Troy Oz.) & MEASURES ~ 1 1/4 Inches N-S, 6 Inches End to End (interior) with a 1 1/2+ Inch "Gap" - would easily fit a Larger wrist. There is some flexibility - it is too big for my 6 1/4 Inch wrist. The Hallmark for the Thomae Company (looks VERY Arts & Crafts ~ Roycroft period), a 'T' with a conjoined 'C'. It is tiny & stamped in an odd location on the outside of the bracelet. Bracelet is also Marked "STERLING". I hope from my photos you can clearly see the craftsmanship... the ridge design on both the top & btm edges as well as the 'bombe' design of the cuff where the chased ~ engraved leafy Victorian style flourishes are.
You will find this RARE bracelet to be in VERY FINE CONDITION! Designs are Sharp - has never been engraved ~ personalized. Has been lightly polished without removing all of the original patina that accentuates the FINE engraving.
Don't miss the chance to add this Exquisite piece of Vintage Thomae Silver to your QUALITY jewelry ~ bracelet or accessory collection! Would make a LOVELY gift for someone special.
