This brooch is by one of Norway's Oldest Silver & Goldsmiths David Andersen. It is a replica (C.1960) of a Viking cloak pin dating ~ 1000 AD, depicting a mythological dragon entwined by the coils of the serpent. The design represents the struggles between the powers of Good & Evil.

This historically important Viking period design MEASURES ~ 1 5/8 x 1 1/2 Inches and is in VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION! It is Marked in capital letters on the Reverse "D. Andersen Norway 925S Original From Viking Period 1000 AD Copy". In addition the Brass Pin Stem is also Stamped "MET" ? Retains Fully Functional Locking Clasp and has only been lightly cleaned ... still retains some old patina.
