GREAT Looking hand hammered Arts & Crafts style sterling silver Trillium flower pin was designed by Canadian silversmith, Andrew Fussell (1904 - 1983). He was a founding member of the Toronto Metal Arts Guild. The trillium is the official flower of the Province of Ontario. This particular brooch was made for the Zonta convention of 1960... a women's service club that helps to advance the status of women around the world, through service and advocacy.
Mad Men Era Sterling silver flower pin MEASURES ~ 1 3/4 x 1 5/8 Inches and was found in NY State near the Canadian border. It is CLEARLY Marked in all capital letters "Zonta Toronto 1960 Sterling'' and the Canadian National hallmark for silver - a Lion's head inside of a "C". It is also marked in Script lettering "Fussell". You will find this Hand Crafted piece of artist signed silver jewelry to be in VERY GOOD CONDITION! Retains original Fully Functional Locking Clasp, Hinge & Pin Stem... has not been polished in many years & displays old patina (could easily be removed) that highlights the finish of the metal.
