I believe this a WW2 (possibly WW1?) Era Pin that was worn stateside by a Mother who had a SON in active military service in the Army Infantry. Vintage United States ARMY home-front pin has a Rectangular top (gold plated brass?) with a 5-pointed star in the center. All in Multi-Color Enamel - Candy Apple Red, Cobalt Blue & White. Behind the plaque are a Pair of Crossed Rifles with "US" right below. This is the symbol ~ insignia for the United States Army Infantry.
Hard to find WWII era military collectible MEASURES ~ 5/8 x 7/8 Inches and is unmarked. Enameled military pin is in VERY GOOD CONDITION! NO NICKS, CHIPS, Loss or Excessive Wear to glossy surface - FULLY Functional "C" Clasp & Hinged Pin Stem securely mounted to reverse. Military Jewelry has not been polished - Retains OLD Dark Patina.
DON'T miss the chance to add this UNCOMMON Mother's Pin to your World War II Army Infantry or military souvenir, soldier, serviceman, mourning, sweetheart or home-front collection!
