This VINTAGE Hand Crafted Sterling Silver Pin most likely was made by a Zuni Indian. It was designed to represent a Thunderbird - a cross-cultural symbol of the Southwest, Plains and Pacific Northwest tribes. It symbolizes power, strength & nobility.
Native American Indian jewelry is constructed of Sterling Silver (unmarked & GUARANTEED) and is inlaid with Mother of Pearl, Onyx, Turquoise & Spiny Oyster (often mistaken for coral)... MEASURES ~ 1 1/4 x 1 Inch and really packs a WOW for its size. Retains its ORIGINAL Fully Functional Locking Clasp, Hinge & Pin Stem. Unfortunately we will never know which talented American Indian silversmith crafted this REGAL Thunderbird jewelry as it is unsigned.
Native American jewelry is in VERY GOOD CONDITION! ... retains original oxidized background, has not been polished recently & displays some old patina (primarily on the reverse) that could easily be removed if so desired - direct from the estate of a 94 year old woman. Would make a GREAT Gift for a Man ~ Woman (young or adult) or TERRIFIC Addition to your Vintage Native American Silver Collection!
