This Oval Sterling Silver charm was originally purchased as a souvenir of a trip to New England. Old Sturbridge Village, MA. is a wonderful Early 19th Century Restoration (representation) of everyday village life during the 1830's.
First opened to the public on June 8, 1946; it is the largest outdoor living history museum in the northeast... over 200 acres includes more than 40 structures including restored buildings brought from across New England as well as some authentic reconstructions.
The center of the souvenir charm has the museum's logo - a grasshopper... MEASURES just shy of 1 x 9/16 Inches and is CLEARLY Marked "BEAU STERLING" in a circle around a "B" on the Reverse. In addition, its ORIGINAL loop for a pendant chain or charm bracelet is also Marked "BEAU STERLING". Vintage Museum Charm dates 1955-1965 and has been gently cleaned ~ polished.
