Hard to find World War 2 era sterling silver sweetheart jewelry is designed to represent an Officer's Cap ~ Hat - for a PILOT in the US Army Air Corps. Three dimensional silver pin even has the (gold) braid across the brim & a tiny pair of wings with a propeller in the center. Most likely it was worn stateside by a wife, fiancée or girlfriend (possibly Grandmother, Mother or sister) who had a husband, fiancé or boyfriend in active military service in the US Army Air Corps.
