This German stein with its nicely detailed raised design of a man and a woman sitting on a bench showing some wears and another woman and dog observing, wearing traditional attire. Some nice bright colors in the scene. A nicely detailed pewter lid. It is a wonderful example of classic German pottery design. It has an impressed statement around the stein that reads "Jmmer Lustig Immer durstig" translating to "Always Laughing Always Thirsty"
From the early to mid 20th Century. Marked made in Germany with a logo which I failed to show. Also shows the number 2029 which is also engraved into the bottom with an 8. The logo looks like a telephone pole or three crosses with a circle on top.
It is 9 1/2 inches tall. Clean. No chips or cracks. There is a 0.5L in the lip so I assume it holds 1/2 Liter.
