Vintage Vest made of real suede and crocheted together. Likely from the 1960's or 1970's. No label. In very good condition, although the inside has not been as well tanned as the outside. (The shades of suede are different on the inside.) I find two small pull of the crochet in the underarm areas. Slight wear but in great condition on the whole. It is a medium size but not marked. Retro cool with provenance.
Pre-owned by Charlotte Bookout, wife of James Bookout, who was the FBI agent that interviewed Lee Harvey Oswald after President Kennedy was assassinated. At the Bookout estate his items were too expensive so I raided the closets of his wife, Charlotte instead. Last I looked she was still alive. She had style and organized her 4 full closets by size! They traveled worldwide. Some of her clothes were from the distant places she traveled too.
There is a conspiracy theory that James Bookout is really the shooter that killed Oswald, and not Ruby. But that's another story.
