Art Deco Perfume Bottle from around 1925-27. It is not marked De Vilbiss but looks very much like a De Vilbiss. It is in great condition. The glass top is still there and not cracked like most. This perfume bottle does not show in the "De Vilbiss" Book Catalog by Marsha Craft. Other makers copied the De Vilbiss popular style, including Steuben. This does have the gold motif that De Vilbiss had on many of their upper end perfume bottles. The top brass hardware tells me by Marsha's book that it is not De Vilbiss, and that several companies made similar style bottles. But it would be 1925-1930. No breaks or cracks and the gold on the bottle is stunning. A few tiny fade marks on the bottle circle of gold enamel around the bottom. Stunning ebony black with gold, there isn't a better and more striking combination. It is 6 inches tall by 2 inches across the bottom.
