Rare perfume bottle by Caron from 1950 with bees on the stopper. Beautiful, heavy gold glass. It has a label on the bottom "Caron Or Et Noir"
According to Ken Leach, this was marketed in 1950. Extremely rare and hard to find. It is not perfect.
When I found this perfume bottle, the stopper was stuck and in an awkward position. I took it to a glass man to try to get professional help. When I picked it up, and without consulting with me, he had sawed off the stopper and glued it back onto the top. Great for display but sure did devalue the bottle.
He didn't do a very good job as you can see some of the glue under the stopper. Still a gorgeous looking perfume bottle with a great feel. On the back side there is some spots in the gold paint.
In one of my perfume books it is valued in the several thousand dollar range, but because of the stopper I am selling it for much less. No chips or cracks. Just the stopper is glued. Great looking still. It is 4 1/4 inches tall. Stunning with the two bees on the stopper.
