Antique commercial perfume bottle from 1890 and in excellent condition with the original label still on the gold perfume bottle. VERY Rare and hard to find. Heavy glass covered in gold enamel paint and is lovely at 4 3/4 inches tall. No chips or cracks. Stunning for a commercial perfume bottle at that time.
The perfume bottle was sold by a company named French's from Philadelphia, PA. The company made quite a few perfumes in 1890 and the last perfume I find is from 1906. The scent of this one is "Gold of Ophir Rose". Very rare and high quality for a commercial perfume of this age. There is also a braided silk rope that is attached from the stopper. It keeps the stopper on so it doesn't drop and break. A few little marks in the gold painted bottle but for the age it is splendid!
