This is a very lovely and unique hand mirror or wall mirror in shape of an umbrella. All the glass jewels are still intact and the mirror is in perfect shape. It is precious. Great detailing and sturdy piece. From the 1920's. It is 14 1/2" long by 10" across the widest point. Any black you see is just a shadow. The pictures aren't great here and I will put some new one on soon. As this piece is much more spectacular than the pictures show.
I think it may be too large for hand mirror, and makes for a better wall mirror. But could be used to set on top of a counter as a Hand Mirror would.
Lovely detail and condition. The brass (or bronze) is in great color and condition. All the glass beads are present. It is a lovely and unique piece and it really is a conversation piece as well. Very well made with quality in mind.
I have one small wall in a bedroom that is nothing but vintage and antique hand mirrors from around the world and of all ages. It is splendid, what can I say? I love "vanities" and just try to put them to good decorative use!! I pat myself on the back for this one because it looks awesome!
Mirror, mirror on the wall....
This one certainly is great and in supreme condition. Fun as well as pretty.
