Couture Vintage Gown by 1980's designer from New York, Gale Warren. She was a hard working designer working 14 hours days in a 3 room office in New York. Called the "Girl Friday" because she worked long hours to get her gowns and designs known without a big name sponsor. Nancy Reagan purchased several of her gowns while in the White House. This is from the closet of an X Playboy bunny who wore it once or twice and it has been stored for years.
The fabric is stunning with a sheer black crepe with a fur like raised fabric on top. Very elegant and flows when worn. Graceful and lovely, the belt is a cumber-bun style with beautiful small black beading on the sides. Low in front and back the dress is in great vintage condition with no holes or stains. It is lined. A size 8 with a 26 inch waist and 34 inch bust. The gown is 56 inches long from top of bodice to bottom of flowing gown. Slenderizing and so classy, the fabric is one of the nicest I've ever seen on a gown. The edge of the neckline and backline also have lovely beading all around. Black gown with a gold-ish tan top fabric in a lovely design.
Quality vintage formal that would be appropriate for weddings, New Years, Charity events. Couture at its finest. The sash on the dress is 26 inches and has hooks. It is a dark black but looks rather gray in the picture because the sun was bright and washed out the color. The dress is deep black with the lucious soft fabric entwined with its flower design.
