1920's and 1930's Jeweled Perfume Bottle, also known as a purse perfume. This one has a hand made petit point front of a black glass perfume bottle that is 2 1/4 inches tall. It has a beautiful decorative pink glass top that screws off. There are two glass beads on the shoulders of the bottle and pink small rhinestones that grace the front within the integrate filigree. Most of these beauties that some call "mini perfume bottle" because of their size, were made either in Czechoslovakia or Austria. I believe this one is Austrian because it's filigree is tighter. I see no mark.
Although it looks very good, it is missing 5 of the tiny rhinestones. Also the glass dauber is missing that usually is attached to the screw off filigree jeweled top. This is part of my collection. I like that it was black opaque glass and not clear, and I love petit point and you don't see it anymore! This center was hand stitched before applied to the jeweled bottle. The metal has dulled with time, but there is a product at the craft store that restores the shiny gold look more of what it appeared when first purchased almost 100 years ago! Sold for less because of the small imperfections, but still a beauty and deserves a place in a collection!
