Small Vinaigrette with a sterling silver reposted top. The top flips off to reveal a silver screen or filter which screw off to place in your smelling salts or a piece of fabric doused with ammonia. This would go into your purse on hang off a Chatelaine, so when you were ready to faint from the foul odors or the heat, you could save yourself the embarrassment by smelling your salts. The royal blue glass is in good condition. From the 19th Century. There is a dent and split in the silver on the top. It overlaps so hard to see but I show it in pictures. There is a chain attached to this but and I will send it but you probably will want to replace it. The chain isn't in great shape. These acorn perfume / scent bottle are rare and hard to come by. Small it is only 1 1/2 inches tall. It is not marked A few very tiny chippies on one edge of the glass eight sided bottle.
