Made in the 19th Century, a Victorian Era Wax seal made from carved bone and brass. The initials are MY or MK. Sometimes Calligraphy is hard to read it is so fancy. In good antique condition, there could be a small chip where the brass meets the bone. Many carvings have this anyway but it is not as smooth in a tiny area of the bone. I purchased it in France in 2001 as bone. It came in a small collection of wax seals, which I collected and now selling. As with Ruby Lane Policy We do not purchase or sell ivory. These wax seals were common in the 19th century with simple geometric bone carvings for handles on many items.
