Turquoise beaded vintage necklace from the late 70's or early 80's when Indian jewelry was hot, hot, hot. Not stone, the turquoise beads feel more like a shell, but don't know what it is. The cross bars of the necklace is faux bone. The texture in it is man made. The white beads also seem to be shell like. Almost like a puka shell but smaller. Small gold color beads contrast with the off white and dark turquoise color. The necklace is secured by a wrapped fabric rope and attached by a button. Very much an American Indian look, of Indian jewelry of times gone by.
The necklace is 18 inch at the shortest strand to 26 inches at the longest strand. It is 2 inches wide on the sides and hangs close to 5 inches down from the top to bottom strand. In very good vintage condition, the beads are on a double strand of cord. Secure and all there.
