A lovely top, fancy with rhinestone, ins small size. This one is a collectible as there is some great provenance and history that comes with it.
This is another piece I purchased from the Estate of Charlotte Bookout. Mrs Bookout was the wife of an FBI agent that interviewed Lee Harvey Oswald before Oswald was shot by Ruby. Lee Harvey Oswald was allegedly the man who shot President Kennedy.
Charlotte's husband, James Bookout, has passed but last I checked she was still with us. So a bit more of Kennedy provenance than just the style.
The blouse is likely from 1970's made of a rayon synthetic fabric and lined. , like everything in that era.. and has rhinestones running horizontally around the top. Fancy and beautiful and although vintage it is in excellent wearable condition. Would look great under a jacket. Synthetic fabric but not the cheesy shiny, polyester. Clean, no stains or tears or smells or snags! Very cute. With or without a jacket!
It is labeled as a 4 but my model is a 6 and it fits her perfect! Made in USA by Althuser. Label inside. A quality top!
She had three closets full of clothes…one for her size 6's, another for size 8's and yet another for a size 10! Her 6's are the more vintage clothes! There were a few size 4's in the size 6 closet and a few 12's in the size 10 closet. Very organized. I found the provenance very interesting. Her husbands items went on the auction block but I couldn't afford any of them so I went for Mrs. Bookout's clothes instead. She had class and it showed from her clothing selections!
Check back…I have more of her clothes! I would have loved the file her husband kept…notes all in a small file on index cards! It was an amazing, interesting estate sale.
