Introduced in Paris, France in 1925 is this lovely boxed perfume bottle and powder box by Langlois and the scent of the perfume was "Shari" The perfume box and powder box are a beautiful satin fabric of an Oriental motif of birds and cherry blossoms and flowers. Hard to find, and in great condition. The bottle has no chips or cracks, except a tiny flea bit on the end of the glass dauber which inserts into the bottle. The bottle is empty of its perfume as is the powder box empty of powder.
I will split these two pieces up, if you only want one. The powder box is 35.00 if you want it separate. It's a fairly hard one to find and in good condition with a little dry mold area on the bottom. The fabric has light age wear but still a wonderful example of how beautiful the powder boxes were in the 1920's.
The glass bottle seems to be crystal with the top being glass. I say that because of the high "ping" factor when hitting the glass with a finger nail and no mold marks. The perfume bottle has a perfect, and beautiful label on it in the same pattern as the fabric on the box and is also satin!!! Very unusual for a label to be made of fabric. The bottle is octagonal with eight sides to it and is 5 1/8 inches tall. The box is quite clean and in great condition for it's 90 years..
The powder box is 2 3/4 inches wide and also with an octagon shape as well. Fantastic find!
