Vintage commercial perfume bottle from 1944, all glass with the onion skin and cord still attached to the perfume bottles neck. Much of "Replique" perfume has evaporated but it hasn't been opened. It has a hanging tag around the neck of red clay. All glass stopper it has Raphael's Logo "R" engraved in the glass. Molded on the bottom "Made in France Raphael".
Lopez Raphael was a Fashion Designer in Paris France in the 1930's through the 50's. He opened his doors in 1930 and began selling perfumes in 1936. This held 1/4 ounce of "Replique" parfum. It is small and may be considered a "mini" by size, only standing 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide. In great condition with no cracks or chips in the glass. I love the hanging tag! Over 70 years old this one! The label is in perfect condition. The cord around the neck is wire. SO cute because it is small but it is a quality parfum with just 1/4 ounce that was originally offered. My mom had a bigger bottle of it. I remember. It is not like a "mini" they would have handed out as a free sample. This one would have been sold with extract perfume in it, which took so little but would last all day.
