A rich sapphire blue, crystal glass, makes up this beautiful perfume bottle by Guerlain.
Most all the good perfume bottle books have this one in it, including Ken Leach's book, "Perfume Presentations". A beautiful book and so informative. His book had more to say then the others did about this exquisite perfume bottle.
This bottle came about after the 1937 gold bow bottle was out, and named "Coq D Or" or "Bow of Gold", after the opera by Rimsky Korsakov, "Coq D Or". The blue bottle, which arrived in 1942, housed the perfume "Dawamesk". The bottle came in three sizes with this being the largest of the three.
This gorgeous perfume bottle by Guerlain is in perfect condition with the Baccarat logo on the bottom. It is 4 1/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall including the stopper. The stopper is etched with a 22 as well as the bottom of the bottle, along with the circled logo Baccarat initiated in 1938.
