Victorian era, from Palais Royal, a authentic Mother of Pearl Perfume bottle holder with three small bottles inside. Mechanical in the aspect that you push down on the handle and the sides open up. There is an ormolu filigree holder inside that is made for four small bottles, however, there are only three bottles there.
The MOP holder is trimmed in bronze and sits atop a alabaster and bronze stage. Lovely design in the bronze. It has some felt on the bottom as not to scratch a surface. The holder is 7 1/2 inches tall.
The small perfume bottles are 1 and 3/4 inches tall and all have hinged tops gold metal tops and each has a small glass dauber inside. One bottle seems to be stuck in the ormolu holder and I could force it out, but I have no use to do that. This is from my personal collection.
The holder is in excellent condition as is the filigree and ormolu inside and out. I'm sure you could get the extra bottle if you set your mind to it. No cracks in the lovely colors in the Mother of Pearl holder. From a time when many of natures supplies were used to make accessories as there were no plastics and synthetics back then. From 1850-1900
