Frances Brundage Calendar from 1888 with Cat and Dog Scott's Emulsion
In very good condition is this calendar from 1888! That is a long time ago. Sept through December is there along with some other delightful tidbits after the months are up. Absolutely entertaining to say the least! The illustrator is the infamous Frances Brundage. You can see why she is still popular to collect even today.
The calendar has some entertaining pages about "How to Please in Conversation" and Marriage Anniversary Gifts, and advice for what Housekeepers should remember, like when the milk is starting to sour, put soda in it to make it drinkable again, and to put stale meat outside in the cool air for the night and it will freshen the meat! Fascinating read!
The calendar is so cool. Frances Brundage is the artist of this cute little wide eyed girl holding a cat and dog. The size is larger at 7 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches
The calendar is an ad for Scotts Emulsion. which is a cod liver oil. Meant to heal many ailments in those days! The colors are rich. Very good, antique condition! One small piece of corner is gone and a few tiny spots, but is darling and you will be well entertained by reading the 12 little pages still in the calendar!
Thank you for stopping by "Time in a Bottle"! We love old paper, Victorian Lithographs, or trade cards, old post cards and Die cuts! We are always adding!
