In excellent condition is this wonderful Victorian set of perfume or cologne bottles. These were used when traveling. it has a heavy beveled glass case that holds all the bottles in place. Well made, and made with a handle to carry with. It likely set in a traveling chest. The bottles are crystal and all lovely with no issues. Great for display or use. Hard to find these in such great condition, much less find one!
There are four bottles with two attached to each beveled glass doors that open on each side of the perfume box. Likely kept the bottles from little hands as well!! Really lovely.
The box is made like the small French Jewelry Boxes. The bottom of the box is a mirror, so it really enhances the cut glass bottles with the cut glass stoppers. The sippers are hand fitted and with a half twist, the bottle are secure and the stopper will not fall out, obviously securing the liquid inside as well. The same hand perfection that was used in making old Czechoslovakian perfume bottles from the 20's.
With the handle the box is 8 inches tall, and the box alone is 5 inches tall by four inches square. Two bottles are 3 1/2 inches and two others are 3 inches in height. All look like they are in great condition.
It is cut glass so it has a nice sparkle to the very clean glass. Heavy. Wonderful find!
