It all started with this large Antique Sterling Silver Sacred Heart medal with Mother Mary standing on a snake on the back. Always loved the imagery of the burning sacred hearts. Deciding on Rubies of course, then chose Turquoise and Apatite as the complimentary color. The very large carved Turquoise heart was attached to the bottom of the medal. I formed the bale of the turquoise heart into a little flame and attached it to the bottom. Set directly into the heart is a round cut ruby, first set in a sterling silver bezel. The chain is more natural faceted ruby beads and Apatite that I hand wrapped, creating the solid sterling silver rosary chain.
The Sacred Heart medal is original, Circa late 1800s Early 1900s.
