RARE Vintage Hand Wrought Rebajes Copper Leaf Dangling Acorn Brooch Pin Signed

The father of `wearable art`, Francisco Rebajes (1906-1990), immigrated to New York from the Dominican Republic in 1923.
This Lovely Brooch is one of the rarer Rebajas Brooches to find.

The Brooch features a hand wrought finely detailed elongated leaf. The end of the leaf turns into a round ring, from which the acorn is suspended The acorn's hat is engraved with a pretty thatched design. The different colors of patina blend wonderfully. The regeneration of the Arts & Crafts movement is identifiable in this brooch.

The brooch is reflective, the leaf especially shows a bit of sparkle. Perfect for Autumn and brings back memories of pumpkin pie, fires aglow and colored leaves falling to the ground.

Measurements: 2 3/4” L x 2 3/4” W.

The original finish on these items means they will not tarnish and do not need to be polished.

Signature/Marks – The Rebajes Signature is stamped on the back, with its characteristic Art Deco Font which has remained the same through the years.

Excellent Condition with no flaws notes. Like New.
