This Beautiful Butterfly is artistically hand-cut and filled with the most beautiful color of turquoise blue enamel. The enamel features tiny stippled zig-zags and half-moon shapes throughout. These enamel areas are combined with smooth, highly polished sterling panels. The black enamel eyes and curled sterling antennae complete this beauty.
Measurements: 1 3/4" W x 1 1/4" Tall.
The Sterling Silver Brooch Converter will allow you to wear this brooch as a pendant necklace as well.

Signature / Marks: This piece is signed by the Artist/Silversmith "JF", which represents Julio Flores, a very well known and respected Artist of the 1950's – 1960's. Also on the back you will find "STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO" with an Eagle 3 Stamp.
NOTE: These early Mexican Works by Noted Artists/Silversmiths are difficult to come by, as they have disappeared into private collections. It's rare that these pieces become available unless you're fortunate enough to find one at auction or estate sale.
