C.19th century Louis XVI bronze gilt caned settee from France is hand carved with ribbon motif outlining the frame and acanthus leaf swags on the arms.The sides are double caned and strong. Reed carved legs.The under seat is also caned with a bit larger design of cane. New thick cushion with back zipper in light gold silky brocade makes sitting very comfortable.
Minor wear to the bronze gilt on frame and cane as seen. Very strong and stable with one very small puncture in the cane on one side going to the back so is not seen from side or back.
