Unique scrolled early 1900's porcelain and gilt wood French mirror. Carved gilt-wood frame has a basket of flowers atop a gathered swag on either side with the rope tassel tiebacks showing beneath the swags. Floral and leaf design on the lower portion of the frame with oval porcelain hand painted colorful French couple in the dress of the day bottom center.Gilt delicate design surrounds the rounded oval.
The mirror is mounted on a thick wooden base scribed to the design of the mirror and anchored on the front with three antique gold metal rosettes. Wire for hanging on the back as well. A penciled initialed date on the back indicates the mirror was replaced in July of 1976 so in excellent condition as is the rest of the mirror.
