A combined first edition thus of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Published in 1945 by Jan Forlag, Stockholm, Sweden and illustrated by Robert Hogfeldt. Finely bound by Bumbus of London and bound in early deep red Morocco leather. The spine has five raised bands and spine compartments are lettered in gilt. Silk page marker. Ten (10) full page brightly colored plates and 30 black & white line drawings by Hogfeldt. A very scarce printing that is in near fine condition with some foxing to second front fly leaf and soil smudges to a small portion of one or two pages. This book was originally bound in stiff paper boards and had a full color illustrated dust jacket.
