The Exorcist, stated first edition by William Peter Blatty and Published in 1971 by Harper and Row. With original unclipped price dust jacket. Blatty's classic tale of terror and the basis of the 1973 movie in which Linda Blair plays the young girl possessed by an evil spirit. Book and dust jacket in very good condition with some issues. Dust jacket is clean with age toning to upper inner flaps, about 1/2" closed tear at upper left hand corner and a prior tape repair inside dj at upper spine area. Purple cloth covered boards are pretty clean front and rear and silver lettering to spine covering is bright and bold, however, there are corner tip bumps both front and rear boards and light edge wear to bottom edge of boards. Internally, end pages clean and text pages clean and supple with no loose, torn or missing pages and binding is tight. Overall, a decent copy of this chilling tale.
