Original dark brown cloth covered boards very good with N.C. Wyeth illustration showing some scratches to pastedown. Brown cloth spine covering with fading to gilt lettering. Internally near fine and very clean with no interior markings with the exception of few pages with light, minor finger smudges. Color illustrated end pages, eight N.C. Wyeth illustrations bright and colorful and tissue guard to frontis illustration. Rear of illustration page blank and are not part of the numbered text pages. Black and white in-text illustrations throughout. Pages supple, clean with no loose, torn or missing pages and binding is tight. All in all, this is a very nice copy of this classic tale.
