Authored by Christopher Morley, this first American edition was printed in United States and published in 1922. Four unusual Arthur Rackham color plates and 16 black & white line drawings. A story with dogs as characters. Book is clean, binding tight with no loose, torn or missing pages and book is in very good condition. Binding is clean with letters and vignettes on front cover and spine in gilt. Wear to both corner spine tips on front board. Illustrated end pages show toning and paper covering at gutters is splitting, however, binding is solid. Title pages shows light soiling at very lower outer bottom margin.
