Published by David Mckay Publishing Co. in Philadelphia, PA in 1929. Externally and internally very clean with no loose, torn or missing pages and binding is tight. Front paste-on is clean with some light soiling. Spine titles are in gilt. Once Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit series was completed, she intended to stop writing, however, and with the persuasion of her American publisher, Potter agreed to write this book, which was intended for the American market only.
