Made to look like a Chippendale highboy dresser, this vintage mechanical bank features a magic drawer. When a penny is placed in the drawer and the drawer is closed -- voila -- the penny is deposited in the bank. Made of marbled brown plastic to replicate a wood grain and a gold finial at its peak, this bank was produced by the Park Sherman Company in the 1950s.
The bank stands 6 1/2" tall, is 3 1/4" wide and 2" deep. It has a metal plate on the back with a circular door to get your coins out of when you're ready. There is no key but this opens easily with your fingers or a toothpick.
A fun vintage toy!
