Space Pilot by Cadaco was a board game produced during the beginning of the space race in 1951. This vintage board game has amazing graphics of space ships and planets. The spinner for the game is a large rocket. The lid contains the game rules and states the object of the game: "As Space Pilots, players compete to be the first to land on each of five Planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn". Players move colored, wooden playing pieces on the board and chart their progress with "Space O Meter" plastic toggle pieces.
This astronaut game is in very good condition. There is one blue wooden playing piece missing and three of the box top corners are split. The graphics are brilliant and would make a great display piece. The game board measures 22 1/4" in length and 10 in width. (making it a large box to mail).
An amazing space race game from the beginning of the space age.
